This 11-day Bhutan adventure offers an immersive exploration of the country's rich cultural heritage, scenic landscapes, and vibrant cities. The journey begins in Paro, where you will spend the first two days experiencing the town's unique charm and visiting its historic sites. From Paro, the adventure continues to Thimphu, the capital, with a day dedicated to sightseeing its cultural landmarks and attractions. The tour then takes you through the picturesque valleys of Gantey and Wangdue, followed by a visit to the serene Punakha, known for its majestic dzongs and lush scenery. The journey proceeds to Trongsa, a town steeped in history, before reaching the spiritual heart of Bhutan in Jakar, Bumthang. Afterward, you'll return to Thimphu for a relaxing stroll through its streets and another day of sightseeing. The adventure concludes with your departure on the 11th day, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Bhutan's natural beauty and rich traditions.

Tour Plan
Day 1. Paro
On arrival at the airport you will be received by BWTT representative and drive to the hotel. Evening walk at Paro town. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.
Day 2. Paro sight Seeing
visit to National Museum and Rinpung Dzong. After lunch visit to Drukgyel Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang and a traditional farm house. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.
Day 3. Thimphu
Proceed to Thimphu, nearing Thimphu visit Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of the Bhutan. After lunch, visit Memorial Chorten, Tashichhodzong, Handicrafts Emporium and market. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.
Day 4. Thimphu Sight
Visit National Library, Painting School, Traditional Medicine Institute. Afternoon drive to Punakha, via Dochula pass and enjoy mountain views. Visit to Punakha Dzong. Overnight at the hotel in Punakha.
Day 5. Gantey, Wangdue
Morning drive to Gangtey via Wangdiphodrang. Visit Gangtey village and visit Gangtey Gompa. Overnight at Guest House/Hotel.
Day 6. Punakha
Explore Phobjikha valley which is famous for Black Necked Cranes in winter months. After lunch drive to Trongsa. Evening visit to Trongsa town. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 7. Trongsa
Visit Trongsa Dzong, and Ta Dzong/watch tower. Afternoon, drive to Bumthang.Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8. Jakar, Bumthang
Visit to Jakar Dzong. Afternoon visit Kurje Lhakhang and Jambey Lhakhang.. Evening visit to local shops. Overnight at the Hotel.
Day 9. Thimphu ( Walking along the street)
Proceed to Thimphu. On the way lunch at Trongsa town. Tea/coffee on arriving Wangdue and continue to Thimphu. Arrive Thimphu and check into the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.
Day 10. Thimphu Sight Seeing
Mingling with people and walk around clock tower. After lunch drive to Paro for overnight stay.
Day 11. Departure
Early breakfast in the hotel and drive to the airport for onward flight to your destination.

Itinerary is always flexible if you are travelling in a smaller group. You have a choice of eating in a different restaurant, however, the menu depends on the chef and usually it is a set menu but not necessarily the same menu every day.

Yes, things that are not included in the tariff are all beverages, telecommunications, tips, laundry, massage and souvenir shopping.
Bhutan is well connected and every town has IDD services. Internet cafes are available almost everywhere. Cell phones can also be used but you need to get Bhutan prepaid SIM Card and recharge it. Recharge vouchers are available at every second shop in town.
You can exchange money in the banks as well as in the hotels were you are staying. Rates will be better in the banks plus US$ is acceptable in almost all of the shops in town.

Bhutan is all season tourist destination for cultural tours. However the month of February, March, April, and September, October, November are considered the best time due to pleasant weather conditions. December and January are winter months and June, July and August, the rainy season. It is important to note that the climatic conditions during the winter months are not extreme. The average temperature would range from 10-17 degree Celsius during day time.
The money you have transferred will be with held by the Tourism Council of Bhutan till the day you depart. Travel Agents can only withdraw the money after your departure upon submitting your tour invoice. Therefore, your money is safe.

Except for travelers from India, Bangladesh and Maldives, all visitors to Bhutan are required to obtain visa approval prior to their arrival, which will be processed by us.
Tourism is not restricted but the minimum daily tariff is set by the government. It is also necessary that all tourists must come through a registered tour operator to plan your itinerary and process your visa. Tourist cannot come on their own unless they are invited guest.
Druk Air operates daily flight (once daily) from Bangkok (Thailand) and four flights a week from New Delhi, Kathmandu and Calcutta (India) and two flights a week from Dacca (Bangladesh). You can also enter Bhutan via Bagdogra Airport, Siliguri (West Bengal) in India. It has regular flights from New Delhi (twice daily).
Bhutan is connected to the outside world through Druk Air (Royal Bhutan Airlines), the national carrier which is the only airline operating flights in and out of the kingdom.
